Bopha Foundation

Bopha Foundation is a non-governmental organization committed to empowering disadvantaged communities in Ekurhuleni. Founded in 2014 by a group of like-minded individuals, the organization grew from discussions on social issues into a platform for action. Inspired by a birthday initiative led by founding member Andrew Baloyi, the team began giving back to those in need, identifying local organizations and households facing significant challenges.

Recognizing that these issues far exceeded available resources, and with government support struggling, the group registered Bopha Foundation to create lasting change. The foundation focuses on improving social well-being for children, the elderly (including education, food security, healthcare, and safety), and economic prosperity for all through job creation, business development, and income-boosting initiatives.
